The Children´s Home “Niño San Salvador” in Capachica is the second public assistance institution to receive garments knit and donated by volunteers who participated in Interweaving, an activity that was part of the Movimiento Manuela Ramos campaign: “Housework must be shared by the entire family”. Without economic autonomy, there is no true autonomy.
The children were very happy to receive their knit hats and expressed their delight with comments such as: “What pretty hats!”, “Thank you, Manuela Ramos members!”, “I will use this hat to go to school,” and “When are you coming back to visit us?”
The social worker for the Children´s Home, Isela Camacho, expressed her appreciation to all those who contributed to this cause that will be a great help during the coming cold season. She also thanked the NGO Manuela Ramos for thinking about the boys and girls in the home.
